John Hale


John brings finance, banking, and real estate experience to CCDC, as well as a passion to make Boise the most livable City in the country.  He is the Managing Partner of KPMG LLP Boise and leads KPMG’s National Commercial Credit Risk Practice.  John is also an active angel investor providing capital and advice to several Boise startups.  John has provided consulting services to a diverse client group, including Albertsons, MWI Vet Supply, Banner Bank, SquareOne Bank, Silicon Valley Bank, Goldman Sachs, Bank of the Cascades, Google, Deutschebank, Capital One, DaimlerChrysler and the International Monetary Fund.

John previously managed KPMG’s advisory practice in Latin America, a 17-country practice headquartered in Mexico City, and served as the Chief Risk Officer for Providian Financial Services, a large retail bank in San Francisco.

John has a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Idaho. He is a recipient of KPMG”s “Chairman’s Award for Outstanding Community Service.”  John is active in the Boise community.  He currently serves on the Board for Trailhead, Boise’s entrepreneurial hub, the Boise State Venture College, and the Idaho Business for Education.  John has served on the Boards of FUNDSY, Idaho Voices for Children, Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce, the Boise Valley Economic Partnership, Ballet Idaho, the University of Idaho Accounting Department Advisory Board, and the Idaho Non Profit Center.
