Background

Bannock Street is an important pedestrian and cyclist route that needs improvements to make it safe and accessible to all.

CCDC is improving the experience for those traveling into and out of Downtown Boise from west downtown neighborhoods by rebuilding the streetscape, adding fully signalized intersections at 15th and 16th Streets, and improving the existing bike network.

About the Project

Rebuild Bannock Street – 13th Street to 16th Street – improves overall safety, comfort, and accessibility by:

    • Rebuilding sidewalks, pedestrian ramps, driveway approaches and adding street trees.
    • Repaving the road and updating an aging underground canal crossing below Bannock Street to ensure irrigation flow into the future.
