How Comprehensive Planning Can Help Communities Achieve Their Goals

Patricia will present an overview of comprehensive planning, its value to communities, and how citizens can become more engaged in helping develop comprehensive plans and support implementation of these plans once adopted. She has 30 years of experience in community planning including as Boise’s planner who led Blueprint Boise and the county comprehensive plan for Chester County, Pennsylvania.

The Citizens Planning Academy is a collaboration of Idaho Smart Growth and the University of Idaho’s College of Law in Boise and Bioregional Planning Program. Monthly sessions are designed to help citizens become effective advocates on a wide range of planning topics. All sessions are free and open to everyone.
