CCDC Supports #BeKind Initiative

December 20, 2018

News & Notes

Kindness is defined as any action in which one person puts the needs of another ahead of their own.

At a press conference Tuesday night, Mayor Bieter announced a community-wide initiative with the goal to promote and maintain the city’s values and kindness. ‘Boise Kind’ is a collaborative initiative between the City of Boise, community members, business leaders and non-profits aimed at protecting and promoting our community’s core values and ensuring that Boise remains a kind and welcoming community. The City will seek community partners and ambassadors to help plan their own kindness efforts and to inspire and capture acts of kindness, big and small, throughout Boise. “In early October, CCDC initiated its efforts to communicate the kindness message based, in part, on the Mayor’s comments in the State of the City address”, said John Brunelle, Executive Director. “The Agency knows first-hand of the need for more civility and consideration in our daily work life. CCDC supports this initiative wholeheartedly.”
