CCDC Breaks Ground on 1010 W. Jefferson Street Commercial Space and Public Parking Facility
July 16, 2026
BOISE, Idaho – Today, Capital City Development Corporation (CCDC), project partners, elected officials, and community members gathered to celebrate the start of construction on the 1010 W. Jefferson Street Commercial Space & Public Parking Facility.
During the groundbreaking ceremony, CCDC also unveiled the official name of the development: 1010 Jefferson.
1010 Jefferson will include approximately 446 public parking stalls, five ground-floor commercial condominiums, and the future home of the Treasure Valley YMCA’s Kissler Family Early Education Center.
Located in the Westside Urban Renewal District, the project will add public parking capacity to downtown Boise while creating space for businesses and childcare services on the ground floor. The facility will become the seventh garage in CCDC’s ParkBOI parking system.
“As downtown Boise grows, so does the need for parking and services that support the people who live, work, and spend time here,” said John Brunelle, CCDC Executive Director. “This project adds public parking, creates space for neighborhood-serving businesses, and expands access to early childhood education in downtown Boise. Together, these investments help support a strong and thriving city center.”
“We are excited to bring the Kissler Family Early Education Center to 1010 Jefferson,” said David Duro, President and CEO of the Treasure Valley Family YMCA. “This center is an investment in children, families, and the future of our community. Thanks to the generosity of our partners and supporters, we will be able to double our early-learning childcare capacity downtown, providing more families with access to high-quality, affordable care. Through our employer co-op childcare model, we can better support families and local businesses, while continuing our commitment to helping children learn, grow, and thrive.”
1010 Jefferson reflects CCDC’s ongoing investment in public infrastructure that supports redevelopment and lowers barriers to private investment. By combining public parking, commercial space, childcare, bicycle amenities, and public gathering space in a single development, 1010 Jefferson is designed to serve the needs of a growing downtown and the surrounding neighborhood.
