CCDC Selects Robyn Sellers as Next Executive Director

Capital City Development Corporation (CCDC) has selected Robyn Sellers as the agency’s next Executive Director following a national recruitment and selection process led by executive search firm Mosaic Public Partners.
Sellers will step into the role following Executive Director John Brunelle’s retirement in September after 13 years leading the agency. The CCDC Board of Commissioners confirmed Sellers’ hiring during its August 28 special board meeting.
Sellers brings more than 20 years of experience in economic development, urban renewal, community development, and strategic public-private partnerships. She currently serves as Director of Economic Development and Urban Renewal for the City of Nampa, leading initiatives focused on business recruitment and expansion, downtown revitalization, redevelopment, housing, and economic growth.
Prior to joining the City of Nampa, Sellers spent more than 12 years with the State of Oregon, partnering with communities, businesses, and regional organizations to advance economic development through long-range planning, business expansion, and strategic investment.
During Sellers’ tenure in Nampa, those efforts have helped catalyze more than $500 million in private investment and supported the creation of more than 1,000 jobs.

In 2026, Sellers was recognized as one of Consultant Connects Top 50 Economic Developers in North America for leadership and contributions to the economic development profession. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Utah State University and a Master of Business Administration from Willamette University’s Atkinson Graduate School of Management.
Brunelle has served as CCDC’s Executive Director since 2013, leading the agency through a period of significant growth and investment in downtown Boise and the city’s urban renewal districts. During his tenure, CCDC has advanced transformative redevelopment projects, invested in public infrastructure and helped create the conditions for continued private investment and economic growth throughout Boise.

Sellers is expected to begin serving as Executive Director on October 1, 2026.
