October 29, 2020

News & Notes

Capital City Development Corporation in collaboration with the City of Boise and Eleven Eleven West Jefferson, LLC, is excited to release the final renderings for downtown Boise’s newest public park at the corner of 11th St. and Bannock St.

Coming in the summer of 2021, the half-acre park will feature a large, shaded lawn with flexible event space for public gatherings that could include outdoor movie nights, concerts, and more. Upon entering the park, visitors will be greeted by the public art installation “Gentle Breeze,” by world-renowned artist, Matthew Mazzotta. Additionally, a cup of coffee or meal from a nearby restaurant can be enjoyed in the shaded outdoor dining area.

As more people begin to call downtown home in the coming years, access to quality public spaces like the new park is essential to support Boise’s active, outdoor lifestyle. Boise’s beautiful and dynamic outdoor spaces along the Greenbelt and Foothills are an integral part of living in the city. The public voiced a desire to extend those outdoor opportunities and public amenities to downtown employees, residents, families and visitors, and this desire was the primary driver in the development of the park.
