PUBLIC INPUT OPPORTUNITY: Westside Park Public Art

July 20, 2020

News & Notes

The Department of Arts & History is seeking feedback on the design concepts by upstate New York-based artist Matthew Mazzotta for public art in a new park in the west side of downtown, located at the intersection of 11th and Bannock streets. A public-private partnership in 2019 between Capital City Development CorporationCity of Boise and Eleven Eleven West Jefferson, LLC, has made possible the ability to create that distinctive space for Boise residents and workers to enjoy.

The information collected through Friday, July 31, 2020, will be presented anonymously to the artist, the community selection panel and the approval bodies consisting of the Arts & History Commission, Capital City Development Corporation and Boise City Council.

Mazzotta was selected through our public selection process and traveled to Boise in January 2020 to launch his project through a temporary public space for listening he calls Outdoor Living Room.
