Todd Cooper

Commissioner


Todd Cooper currently serves as the President and CEO of Idaho First Bank, a growing community bank focused on putting people and communities first. Cooper has over 30 years of banking industry experience, beginning his career with First Security Bank of Idaho in 1989 which was acquired by Wells Fargo in 2001.  During his time with Wells Fargo Cooper worked in multiple lines of business and led teams across the Mountain and Pacific time zones.  Just prior to leaving he led commercial banking teams across Idaho, E. Washington and Wyoming.  He then joined Boise State University as the Director of Economic Development, and subsequently moved to Idaho First Bank as the COO in January 2020.  He was named President in June 2020 and added the CEO title in April 2021.  Cooper enjoys working with business and community leaders using his experience to help achieve common goals through collaboration and innovative solutions. 

In January 2023, Todd Cooper was nominated by Mayor Lauren McClean, and confirmed by the City Council, as a Commissioner of the Capital City Development Corporation (CCDC) for a standard five-year term.  An active community leader, Cooper currently serves as a Board Member and past Board Chair of both The Boys and Girls Club of Ada County, and the Boise Valley Economic Partnership (BVEP).  He also currently serves on the leadership board of the College of Business at Idaho State University.  Cooper is also a former board member of the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce, and a former Commissioner of the Kuna Urban Renewal Agency.  

Cooper grew up in Idaho, enjoys spending time in the Idaho outdoors, and has two grown children who also call Idaho home.  He earned both an undergraduate degree and a Masters in Business Administration from Idaho State University.
