OPEN HOUSE: Brownfield Assessment Grant
November 30, 2015The Capital City Development Corporation is applying for a grant from the Environmental Protection Agency to assess potential brownfield sites in the 30th Street Area (also known as the West End).
Come to the open house and learn about:
- The proposed brownfield grant application
- How the brownfield assessment process can help promote redevelopment
- Examples of previous brownfield assessment and remediation efforts in downtown Boise
The grant, if awarded, will help to inventory, characterize, assess, and conduct planning (including cleanup planning), and community involvement related to brownfield sites within the 30th Street Area. By reducing the uncertainty in brownfield redevelopment, this effort will promote development of brownfield sites and other underutilized land leading to improved neighborhood health, welfare, and vitality.
