Idaho Business Review Names CCDC Executive Director John Brunelle a 2026 ICON Award Honoree

John Brunelle, Executive Director of Capital City Development Corporation (CCDC), has been selected as a recipient of the 2026 Idaho Business Review ICON Award. The ICON Awards recognize business leaders who have made significant contributions to Idaho’s business community through professional creativity, innovation, and leadership.

Brunelle is one of 12 honorees selected this year. He was appointed as Executive Director at  CCDC in 2013 and has more than 18 years of public service experience. Additionally, Brunelle’s 25-year career in the private sector included executive positions in publishing, financial services, and professional sports front office leadership.

“The Agency is pleased to see John receive this well-deserved recognition,” said Latonia Haney Keith, chairperson of CCDC’s Board of Commissioners. “He’s built an outstanding team and has helped CCDC, along with our many partners, create an excellent built environment in Downtown Boise and beyond.”

The annual ICON Award ceremony will be held at Boise Centre on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.
