Main Street Station at The Grove Plaza

Valley Regional Transit (VRT) is preparing for the opening of the new downtown Main Street Station and has produced an informative video on how the transit hub will function. In addition to providing The Grove Plaza as a staging area, CCDC will provide over $3 million in funding to help make Main Street Station a reality. The $3 million is comprised of a federal funding match and public infrastructure reimbursements. Read more about CCDC’s participation in this project here.

Main Street Station is scheduled to open on Monday, September 26th and open houses have been scheduled for 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on September 14 and September 21 at the facility. The CCDC team had the opportunity to tour the underground Main Street Station during construction and saw the inner workings of the 8 bus bays. The station will be a vibrant addition to the heart of downtown and transit riders can enjoy The Grove Plaza before, during, or after their commute.
