Rebuild Capitol Boulevard Blocks
Boise River to Myrtle Street

Construction Update (as of December 24, 2024):

The next phase of construction for the Rebuild Capitol Boulevard Blocks: Boise River to Myrtle Project has begun. This phase focuses on the critical replacement of the water main and geothermal lines, which increases capacity for future growth, ensuring long-lasting reliability, cleaner drinking water, and renewable energy for Downtown Boise businesses and residents.

Important Things to Know:

  • There will be a two-lane road closure along the work area to give construction crews ample space and safety to make these important improvements.
  • The sidewalk on the west side of Capitol Boulevard from The Cabin north to Myrtle Street will be closed. A pedestrian detour will be marked with signs.
  • Business access is open to FedEx Office, Treasure Valley Ink, Nomad Beverage Company, The Gas Lantern Drinking Company, White Dog Brewing, and Jackson’s Food Stores. Sidewalk closures will be phased to allow access at all times during construction.
  • Access to the parking lot off of Fulton Street north of White Dog Brewing will remain open from Capitol Boulevard.
  • Pedestrian access to The Cabin and Greenbelt from the west side of Capitol Boulevard will reopen around January 6, 2025.
