Capital City Development Corporation Announces Sponsorship of Boise Entrepreneur Week
September 9, 2025
Capital City Development Corporation (CCDC) will serve as the presenting sponsor of Boise Entrepreneur Week, Idaho’s largest gathering for entrepreneurs, innovators and community builders. The agency and Trailhead, Boise’s nonprofit, entrepreneur-focused hub and organizers of the event, recently agreed to a five-year arrangement and to the title “Boise Entrepreneur Week powered by Capital City Development Corporation.”
The event begins September 29th and will bring together startups, investors, students, and leaders from across Idaho. It will feature fourteen educational tracks and pitch competitions with more than $150,000 in prizes. Boise Entrepreneur Week has earned national recognition for sparking connections across sectors such as technology, food and beverage, health, cybersecurity, and youth entrepreneurship.
“Boise Entrepreneur Week embodies the spirit of innovation and collaboration that drives our city forward,” said John Brunelle, executive director at CCDC. “The agency is honored to support this platform for entrepreneurs who are shaping the future of Boise’s economy. By investing in innovation, we are investing in the long-term vitality of our community.”
CCDC played a pivotal role in Trailhead’s launch, becoming its first major sponsor in early 2015. The location of Trailhead at 500 S. 8th Street was selected because of the vision of founders, CCDC leaders, and key business supporters.
“Boise Entrepreneur Week is about more than one event. It’s a call to action to invest in entrepreneurs who are driving innovation and are building the future of Boise’s economy,” said Tiam Rastegar, Trailhead Boise CEO and Executive Director. “With CCDC as our sponsor, we’re able to scale this platform to make a lasting economic impact on our community. Together, we’re showcasing Boise as a city where innovation meets opportunity and where collaboration builds a thriving economy.”
“This long-term partnership underscores the agency’s role as an early and steadfast champion of the city’s entrepreneurial community,” said Brunelle. “Innovation and collaboration are key elements in our economic development mission, and partnering with Trailhead is an ideal match.”
Boise Entrepreneur Week will take place September 29 – October 3, 2025, at Jack’s Urban Meeting Place in downtown Boise. To learn more, visit https://www.boiseentrepreneurweek.org/
