Cyclists, drivers adapting to 8th Street changesAugust 27, 2014
BOISE — A traffic monitor on 8th Street said he saw one driver Tuesday going the wrong way on Idaho Street who tried to turn the wrong way on 8th Street.
That was the worst example he saw on the first day that Capital City Development Corporation, Boise’s urban renewal agency, opened 8th Street between Main and Bannock streets with a new configuration.
A few other drivers, perhaps confused by the change from southbound to northbound car traffic, briefly drove the wrong way. In general, though, traffic flow seemed fairly clean by Tuesday afternoon, when I wandered by to shoot some video.
