Danielle Hurd
Commissioner
Danielle brings over 13 years of hands-on experience in the architecture and design industry to the CCDC board. She has a strong passion for art, design, and architecture and has had the honor and privilege of partnering with creative thinkers throughout the Pacific Northwest. As the Executive Director of The American Institute of Architects for the Northwest and Pacific Region she serves as a liaison between over 6,000 members, 13 chapters, and the national organization. While at a regional architecture and engineering firm, she managed marketing and business development efforts, led community engagement campaigns and directed public relations.
She is invested in the Boise community and the State at large. Currently she is the District Council Chair of the Urban Land Institute Idaho. Over the years she has served as a Commissioner with the Idaho Commission on the Arts, chair of ULI Idaho Women’s Leadership Initiative committee, founding member of Preservation Idaho’s Idaho Modern advocacy committee, board member of Garden City Arts Commission, and founding member of the USGBC Idaho.
Danielle is a WELL Certified Professional and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Art from Montana State University – Bozeman. Danielle was confirmed by the Boise City Council as a CCDC Commissioner on June 2, 2020, for a standard five-year term ending in May 2025, after being appointed by Mayor Lauren McLean.
