CCDC is dedicated to open and transparent government to promote public confidence in Idaho's urban renewal and redevelopment efforts. Mary embodies that commitment by overseeing all of CCDC's legal activities, including ethics and statutory compliance. In addition to providing in-house legal advice, Mary manages the Agency's contracts and competitive bidding. She is also a trusted liaison with CCDC’s fellow public agencies.
Prior to joining CCDC, Mary spent more than 13 years as an assistant city attorney for the City of Boise, where she specialized in land-use law. Mary was a frequent adviser to the Mayor and City Council in addition to advising the City’s Planning and Zoning Commission, Planning and Development Services Department, and the Parks and Recreation Department.
Mary graduated cum laude from St. Mary’s College of California with a bachelor’s degree in communications and government. She received her juris doctorate from Willamette University College of Law in Salem, Oregon, and she is a member of the Idaho State Bar. Mary is an avid skier and loves to travel, and she has participated in Rake Up Boise for well over a decade.
