“Boise has always been home. My goal at CCDC is to help make this city welcoming for everyone and a place where it is easy for anyone to call it home.”
Boise’s public spaces, roadways, and sidewalks don’t just spring into being. They are the product of collaborative thought, careful planning, and meticulous design. Since joining CCDC in January 2021 as a capital improvements project manager, Zach has helped oversee that process, guiding public infrastructure enhancements—including streetscape, public space, and mobility improvement projects—from concept through ribbon-cutting.
Zach now takes his vision and passion for well-planned public spaces and his previous transportation experience into a new role with the Agency. He was named Parking & Mobility Director for CCDC and the ParkBOI public parking garage system in December of 2022.
Zach has more than 15 years of industry experience with primary emphasis on transportation planning and transportation infrastructure design. Prior to joining CCDC, he was a roadway design engineer with a consulting firm in Boise and later spent five years as a transportation planner with the City of Boise.
A Boise native, Zach earned bachelor’s degrees in civil engineering and forest engineering from Oregon State University, and a master’s degree in transportation engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Zach and his wife have one son and live in Southeast Boise, where they enjoy easy access to both the Foothills and the Boise River.
